WebDec 20, 2024 · As it stands right now, if you have a posed character that is anything other than the rest pose, transferring weights from one that mesh to another in weight paint mode (or using parent deform with automatic weights) it essentially “doubles” up the deform once you set up armature and fails to be accurate at all. WebMy usual first step for weighting clothing to fit an existing body is to select the body and the clothing (multi-selected, in that order, ie. click on body, shift-click on shirt), go into weight paint mode and select "transfer weights to active" with the options set to all layers.
